This Saturday, March 2, Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC, teams up with local medical staff and Helps International to raise money through electronic waste recycling for the Helps International mission. Helps International, organized in 1984, is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that partners with individuals, businesses, corporations, local and national governments to alleviate poverty in Latin America. HELPS integrated programs include: healthcare, education, community and economic development, and agricultural innovations in order to improve the quality of life for the indigenous people of Latin America.
The organization "Helps International" with Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC, raised over $6,000 last year - which paid for the medicine that went with local medical volunteers to Guatemala, who performed much needed surgeries in jungle clinics for those who could not travel to big cities for medical help.
This year's fundraising recycling drive will be located at:
- Stockdale Medical Center Parking Lot
9500 Stockdale BLVD. Parking Lot, Bakersfield, CA 93311 - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 2, 2013
You can help make an impact on the lives of others. Bring your: old televisions sets, flat screens, VCR/DVD players, cable boxes, computers, cell phones, laptops, monitors, keyboards, printers, Wii/Nintendo/Sony play stations, camera equipment, car batteries, household appliances, and industrial copiers to the drive.
