Local Mayors compete in cook-off challenge

The Mayors’ Challenge Cook-off concludes Wednesday night, January 9, at Abigail Restaurant!

The event gets underway at 5:30 p.m. and will celebrate the culmination of the Mayors' Challenge that took place last year.

The Mayors of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach will compete in a plant-based cook-off and will be teamed up with local celebrity chefs to prepare a healthy, tasty dish.

Samples will be provided to all attendees and the first 100 will receive a free glass of wine.

Local judges will decide the winner of the competition.

Sponsored by the Blue Zones Project, a community well-being improvement initiative designed to make healthy choices easier through permanent changes to environment, policy, and social networks, the event promotes a community-by-community well-being transformation, where people live and work together for a better life.

Only residents that have taken the Blue Zone Project Pledge will be admitted to this free event. Space is limited so reserve your spot today.
