Local masters team, Boneyard, takes second at nationals

Boneyard, a Triangle-area masters club ultimate Frisbee team, advanced to the finals of the 2010 USA Ultimate Masters Club Championship tournament in Sarasota, Fla., held Oct. 28-30.

The final, held on Saturday, Oct. 30, pitted Boneyard against Minnesota-based Surly.

After trading a few points early, Surly pulled ahead to leave Boneyard trailing 4-8 at half. Boneyard ended up losing 9-15, taking second overall.

Both Boneyard and Surly had gone undefeated the two previous days of the tournament.
