Local indie band Call In Artillery call on fans for Warped Tour 2014

Saint Louis band Call In Artillery is calling upon its local fan base, known as 'Bombshells', to propel their music onto a larger stage: Vans Warped Tour 2014. If they can drum up the right amount of support, Call In Artillery could find themselves among such bands as Anberlin, Tear Out The Heart, Yellowcard, and I Fight Dragons.

This is part of Warped Tour's online tournament known as the Battle Of The Bands, in which smaller bands fight for the opportunity to play live during one of the tour's many shows. The higher the buzz rating a band has, the higher their chances are to win. Only bands whose buzz rating is over ninety percent are on the front page of the Battle Of The Bands website, putting them in the top 100 bands, who are the only bands who will be eligible for a slot in the Warped Tour.

Call In Artillery is an indie rock band from Saint Louis with a pop/electronica edge and several songs under its belt. Their latest song, "Black Out", was apparently written by front man Chris Schwan "for my wife so she wouldn't think I was just some dumbass in a band". The group has collaborated with rap/rock group Partners In Rhyme for one track and have also performed at live venues like Fubar.

As of today, Call In Artillery has a 73.2 percent buzz rating, putting it behind the winning curve. The race, however, is not over yet. There is still time for Call In Artillery's fan base to propel their favorite group to the top. Their buzz rating is based on fan votes; more votes equal a higher rating. It is a contest that relies heavily on the power of social media and sharing across the Internet's various ports of call for music fans.

You can vote for Call In Artillery here at the Warped Tour Battle Of The Bands website. There are many other bands who are also still in the running for the top 100 slots, which you can also find at the site. The 2014 Warped Tour officially kicks off on April 1 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles before going on the road.

The Warped Tour is scheduled to visit Missouri by way of Maryland Heights and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on July 2. Tickets for the Verizon show are available via LiveNation and general admission tickets start under fifty dollars per person.
