This is a wonderful weekend to live in Louisiana! Serial Thrillerz invites you to join its members in the activities taking place.
Louisiana boasts some of the most popular haunted house attractions in the United States both theatrical and the alleged houses with paranormal activity. New Orleans is known for the House of Shock that was created by Pantera lead vocalist, Phil Anselmo and The Mortuary.
However it is 13th Gate in Baton Rouge that ranks highest of the local haunted house attractions in the state. It was in a close race on Facebook for Scariest Haunted House in the country. Thousands of people voted and the last time the staff saw it cross their wall, it was a mere handful of votes away from first place!
Of course not to be outdone Houma has its own activities going on this weekend! Tonight, (Friday Oct. 25) The “Boo-Seum” starts at 5 p.m and there are signs around town about a haunted house but there is not much information offered.
Saturday is going to be a busy day! The Rougarou Fest runs from 10 AM-8pm with concerts and activities for the kids. The Lutheran Church on Valhi is also holding their Fall Fest and is still seeking volunteers.
However, the members of Serial Thrillerz, Thrillerz 13’s Horror Krewe is forgoing the traditional to watch the Carrie remake starring Chloe Grace Moretz for the Supernatural Saturday Night Review.
I as the president of Serial Thrillerz and the recently named Chairperson for the Horror Writers Association’s Gulf Coast Chapter will also be participating in local Library Events.
On October 30 I will be reading Lou P. Garou by Bourg Larose Elementary school teacher, Lesa Feazel at the Choctaw Branch of the Lafourche parish library. The spooky tales story hour is for children ages 3-9 and begins at 6 p.m.
