Local Fashionistas go "vintage" for In Her Shoes

Brickell Avenue looked more like the '50s than the present on Tuesday night, as RikRak Salon, Boutiqe and Bar hosted "In Her Shoes," to benefit WOMENADE of Miami.  Guests were asked to dress in vintage style, as this event was a pre-event, leading up to the production of "Take a Walk in Her Shoes" fashion production that will spotlight the vintage collection of C.Madeleine's and is the work of famed stylist, Danny Santiago.

WOMENADE funds are used on the women and children who reside at the Community Partnership for the Homeless shelters and are looking to regain footing in life.  Last week, RikRak gave makeovers to 10 such women and their daughters.  Raquel Watters of RikRak said that her salon is glad to be involved in community service projects like this, because "any of us could end up like these women."

Guests at Tuesday night's event were treated to complimentary polish changes and cosmetic makeovers, while Raquel and C. Madeleine gave free mini fashion consultations.  The bar was stocked, courtesy of Pama and Hypnotiq and edible treats were available at the bar.  Good times were had by all.

Tickets are still available for the upcoming "Taking a Walk in Her Shoes" event.  It takes place on May 8th at the Viceroy Hotel.  Tickets can be purchased here.
