Spring break is right around the corner and the kids are counting the days; so what about you? Have you started planning, or at the very least started rolling some ideas around in your head of how to keep those kids busy? Well, here are some sure fire ideas to get you started on that planning process for the long week without school.

Are you thinking about a smart staycation for a few days, fairly close to the Greater Denver Metro area with an ample amount to do? Well mill this over; Winter Park has a couple of great deals during the break, one that gives you the fourth night free at one of the Winter Park Resort lodges (good through April 22, 2012), as well as a package that includes a kids stay, ski, and rent equipment free plan (valid during April 2012). On March 14th, March 21st, and April 4th they will also have a S’Mores By The Fire event. This is so much fun for everyone. There is also a Kids’ Night Out program on Thursday evenings that allows adults to have a worry-free night alone after a long day of skiing and family friendly activities. There are many dates available in March and April, see the Winter Park Resort website for details. Are you ready to boogie down to 70’s music while attempting to keep your balance on blades? Well the Disco Skate Nights activity is held at the Village Ice Rink Saturday March 10th from 5-7PM, so get out there. Almost sounds too fun to pass up. This is just a taste, there are other events going on during this time as well. Winter Park is located 67 miles Northwest of Denver and you also have the option of taking the Amtrak train for one of the most scenic and relaxing routes.

Come back soon to see other exciting locations and great deals for Spring Break.
