Local Don Pablo’s earns “Restaurant of the Year”

Rita Restaurant Corp., parent company of Don Pablo’s restaurants, has announced that the DonPablo'slocated at 8161 HoneyGo Blvd. in the White Marsh area of Baltimore has received the company’s coveted “Restaurant of the Year” award for 2010.

The award was presented to the entire team at White Marsh by Paul Seidman, president and CEO of Rita Restaurants.  In presenting the award, Seidman said,

“Don Pablo’s success has been achieved through continued focus on quality, value, service, cleanliness and hospitality.  Every member of the White Marsh team exhibited exemplary performance in each of these areas, and this restaurant leads the company overall in many performance and sales metrics.” 

The White Marsh Don Pablo’s, which opened in March 1998, was also cited for its low employee turnover, low cost of goods, high guest satisfaction surveys and advancement in same-store sales.

The restaurant is managed by Mark Formwalt, managing partner; Jim Collins, area director; and managers Bob Duvall, Maria Huerta and Mike McKeon.  For the Restaurant of the Year achievement, all hourly team members are being awarded a financial bonus and the restaurant received a commemorative plaque for display.  Team members also are receiving specially designed uniforms, baseball caps and name tags highlighting the Restaurant of the Year honor.
