Local Dentist Giving Unique Dental Advice During Flu Season

The Tigard, OR based TenderCare Dental Dr. Justin Marostica is using new research to educate patients on tips to avoid the flu.

Dr. Justin Marostica is sharing research from The Oregonian that over 115 people have been hospitalized in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties and that number is rising daily. Flu season is among us and it can hinder patience ability to be healthy and happy.

The Doctor is sharing unique health tips with his patients to help them avoid the flu. Most people don’t associate practicing good oral hygiene with avoiding the flu but the doctor is setting out to prove new methods to correct the stigma.

“Having good oral hygiene will help you prevent illness. If you or someone in your family is sick with the flu it is important that you get rid of any toothbrush, toothpaste, or other oral hygiene equipment that could possibly be contaminated with the germs causing the flu or other illnesses,” says Dr. Justin Marostica.

Dr. Justin Marostica uses a comprehensive approach to educating patients. He utilizes new education tools; resources and technology platforms, such as the iPad patients are motivated to learn.
