Local dairy producer, Klein Farms, which has a store that sells their self-produced cheese, yogurt, produce, baked goods, and meats, has decided a new item to the list.; ice cream and the farm will use their own milk to make it.

The milk will be sent from Klein to Longacres Dairy, in Barto, PA, and they will turn into a ice cream mix. Then Klein Farms in a partnership with Daniel Duffin, the actual ice cream maker, will produce 16 to 20 different flavors of ice cream that will be available for sale in its stores.

In addition the farm is hoping to get approval to build an ice cream shop, an add-on to the store on its property. The owners see ice cream as the next logical step for the dairy farm and it was already being requested by their customers.
