Today it is my pleasure—nay, my honor—to recognize another fine Anti-Zombie Local Business. Dr. Robert Ebeling’s A-Just-A-Ble Chiropractic and Wellness Center has taken a strong stance against the zombie infestation in Denver, and for that reason, he deserves our grateful nod of approval.
I first met Dr. Ebeling at the 2009 Denver Zombie Crawl, where he was recruiting zombies to perform in a video advertising his practice. In the video, three stiff-backed zombies walk into the A-Just-A-Ble Chiropractic and Wellness Center, pounding on the door and demanding life. After each one undergoes the skilled ministrations of Dr. Ebeling, they walk out, standing upright like human beings, happy that the stiffness of rigor mortis has left their undead bodies.
"We are an Anti-Zombie business in the sense that we help people every day in the real world to become human again by getting off medications that have side effects that can really make them feel like a zombie," Dr. Ebeling explained. In other words, this chiropractor might just be able to cure early-stage zombification, or at least the feeling of being a zombie. What working stiff hasn't felt, well, stiff and dead while going through their daily grind?
Even worse than every day back problems are the zombie-like characteristics that come with many spinal injuries. "We help people live again without pain and the stiffness associated with spinal problems," Dr. Ebeling said.
So thumbs-up to Dr. Ebeling for making A-Just-A-Ble Chiropractic and Wellness Center an Anti-Zombie Local Business right here in Denver. My hope is that more Denver businesses will follow his example and help our city live free from zombies and back problems.
