Do you have sales experience? Has your job search gone cold? Are you tired of not being able to connect directly with the hiring manager? Well, here is your chance. There are jobs a ‘plenty for highly skilled sales professional and Time Warner Cable in Columbus, OH is taking an active approach to finding just that.

Time Warner’s Mid-Ohio Division will host an on-site career fair on Thursday, March 10th from 4 to 7 pm at 1015 Olentangy River Road, and on Friday, March 11th from 10 am to 1 pm in search of sales professionals for both direct and telephone sales professionals. Representatives will conduct on-site interviews, so come prepared as if you were invited to attend.

Time Warner is looking for candidates with clean driving records, at least a high school diploma, sales experience, the ability to work in all types of weather and excellent communication skills. You also need to have an enthusiasm for achieving results and the ability to educate customers.

If this sounds like you here is what you need to do: GET READY!

Prepare for the career fair with fresh resumes and cover letters. Your resume needs to be prepared specifically for a sales role with Time Warner. For example, if your career objective still says: looking for a career in restaurant management, you might want to think about changing it to reflect your interest in the position to which you are applying. Research the company and walk into that career fair with confidence ready to show them how you will add value to their sales division.

Now that you have a great resume, let’s talk about that suit you’ve had since Jesus was a baby. So, you do not have the cash to buy a brand new name brand interview suit. Fine. But please make sure you look like you are ready to present your professional best. Make sure you have on nice shoes, shirt, ties for the fellas, neatly pressed slacks or skirt. And ladies, please make sure your skirts reveal your professionalism and not your goodies; you do not want to get a job that way. Same goes for you men; it is fine if that muscle shirt works for you in the gym, but it leaves much to be desired in the work place.

Career fairs are the perfect time to step up your game and show recruiters and hiring managers what you are made of. Treat your job search like a job and you will find the career that you want, and not just the job that you need.
