Marrufo, boxing as a featherweight has a record of two wins and two losses. He started boxing as a pro in 2011, and although his first two fights ended in losses, he has since improved to a point where he is a beast in the ring.
In his last fight against Carlos Luque in Tucson last May, Marrufo displayed excellent skill and was clearly not the same fighter he was in his first two fights.
His ability to use his jab and killer overhand right-hook make for a deadly combination. Marrufo is a much more smarter fighter now, he mixes up his combinations and works well inside throwing upper cuts and working the body.
It will be exciting to see what he will bring to the ring when he faces Yanez on Jan. 18.
Marrufo-Yanez will be on the undercard of "Mayhem in Mesa-War," presented by Raging Babe Events in association with Hennessy V.S., and Crank it Up Promotions. Tickets are available at certain Food City and Pizza Patron's, check out Ragingbabe.com for all the details.
