Local bakeshop and brewery combine for a cupcake treat on Chocolate Trail

Bethlehem's Backdoor Bakeshop, which is a bakery and cafe, is teaming with Brew Works, a micro-brewer with locations in Allentown and Bethlehem, to make a cupcake treat for the Chocolate Trail.

The Chocolate Trail, which is not only a treats experience, but also a form of romantic expression for Valentine's Day, featuring plenty of stops through out Bethlehem. The locations are varied and include spas, salons, florists, restaurants, bakeries and many others.

Backdoor used the Brew Works Raspberry Imperial Stout to make a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. The cupcake will be a featured sample along with their Mexi Hot Mocha drinks, which is either coffee or cocoa, mixed with cayenne and chili powder, along with cinnamon and whipped cream.

According to the Downtown Bethlehem Association, the Chocolate Trail on Saturday is just the kickoff to a week of romance, ending on Valentine's Day, Friday February 14th.
