Local artist's work to be displayed at Coffee Grounds

Rebecca Eggleston, a recent Indiana State University graduate, will have her first solo exhibition in Coffee Grounds this month. The coffee shop is located in downtown Terre Haute at 423 Wabash Avenue. Her pieces on display are based around the idea of fractal geometry and she finds her inspiration in thin sections of rock. "I love geometry and have ever since I was a kid," says Eggleston, "I find it very interesting that these thin segments of rock look a lot like a landscape, as most of what makes up a landscape is rock in some form or another." Eggleston's current work will be on display in Coffee Grounds for the entire month of April. Coffee Grounds holds a poetry reading every third Thursday of the month; this time, Eggleston's exhibition reception will be held alongside the reading on April 21.Eggleston plans to move to Ohio in August to pursue her Masters in painting/drawing at Kent State.
