"ADOPT" Scrabble tile bracelets, Animal Welfare Custom Charm Necklaces, paw print earrings, and "Stop Puppy Mills" bracelets are just a few of the unique creations designed for Contemporary Cats by a local high school art teacher and accomplished artist.  Darelne has volunteered in animal rescue for more than a decade and her experiences inspire her creations.  Many of her designs feature recycled elements - Scrabble tiles, typewriter keys, dominos, lab slides, and more.  And a portion of the proceeds of each sale benefit Companions For Life.

Companions For Life's humane education programs target low-income kids in underserved areas of the city, teach basic pet responsibility, compassion, and respect for pets, wildlife, and the environment.  Companions For Life also offers shelter outreach programs provide local shelter staff and rescue group volunteers with the tools they need to do their jobs to the best of their abilities, to meet their goals, to improve their standing in their community, and to earn the respect and admiration they deserve.
