Lobo Football Begins; Albuquerque Isotopes in playoffs

The UNM Lobo Football team starts their season at 5pm MST time today in College Station, TX against Texas A&M.  The game isn't on TV, boo, but you can listen to it on 770 KKOB-AM.  They will play their first home game on Saturday, September 12 against Tulsa at 6:00pm MST.  Season tickets are still available and can be purchased by clicking here.

The 12th will be Lobo fans first chance to see new head coach, Mike Locksley, in action. 

Topes PCL Playoff LogoALBUQUERQUE ISOTOPES 

The Albuquerque Isotopes, AAA Baseball team, clinched the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division Championship on Sunday, August 30.  This means the Topes will begin their playoff run at home on Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, 2009.  The Topes had their last regular season home game on Thursday, September 3, so these playoff games are fans next opportunity to see the Topes play at home.  Their opponent is still TBD, but tickets can be purched online by clicking here and at the Isotopes Park Box Office. 

The Topes and the Lobos hope to see large crowds turn out to cheer on their teams.
