A loaded gun was found in a woman's vagina during a strip search in Oklahoma after she was arrested on drug charges, Smoking Gun reports March 6. A female police officer at the Ada Police Department found the handle of the five-shot revolver "sticking out from inside" Christie Dawn Harris.
Police also uncovered plastic baggies containing methamphetamine crammed in the crack of Harris' buttocks.
In the police report, it said that the gun inside the woman was a Freedom Arms .22-caliber handgun that had three live rounds and one "spent" shell. When law enforcement wrote up the report, they noted "gun located in suspect's vagina."
At 3:45 a.m. Monday morning Harris and another woman -- Jennifer Delancy -- were discovered in a vehicle parked outside a restaurant. Police were suspicious of activity going on and drug dogs alerted law enforcement of scents they picked up on the driver's and passenger's side of the car. Police found found meth, drug paraphernalia, a pistol, and a loaded magazine. Harris and Delancy were arrested.
When a female police officer wanted to conduct a strip search on Harris for contraband, she “advised that she was on her period and did not want to.”
“I observed at that time a wooden and metal item sticking out from her vagina area,” said Officer Kathy Unbewust.
Unbewust added that she “pulled the item from her vagina, and found it to be a 5 shot revolver with rounds in the chamber.”
