Loaded gun in airport: Man arrested in Newark airport

A loaded gun in Newark Liberty International Airport led to a man's arrest, according to a Feb. 17 Christian Post report. It is strange that a man would bring a loaded gun into an airport.

Robert Kellerman, 59 of Pennsylvania, was arrested for carrying the loaded gun into the airport in his bag. He claims, however, that it was a misunderstanding and he simply forgot that he had the loaded gun in the bag he brought into the airport. A loaded gun is certainly not something to be forgetful about.

TSA screeners found the .22 caliber hand gun in Kellerman's bag. Because it is serious to have a loaded gun in an airport, Robert Kellerman was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

He may not face jail time, but it is still a problem to bring a loaded gun into an airport. It seems like a gun is something that should be memorable. At least the TSA caught this loaded gun because there have been times, like the video describes, that they do not catch these loaded guns in airports.
