LL Cool J Featured On Kid Ink Remix

Fresh off of hosting the GRAMMYs and taking part in the Beatles’ 50th anniversary GRAMMYs special, LL Cool J is back to doing what he does best- making music.

His 2013 independently released, ‘Authentic,’ was a huge success, and sales are still going strong. In a tweet from February 13, 2014, the G.O.A.T. posts, ‘In case you missed this... A few days ago I had to go in. Lol,’ with a link to a remix of a new Kid Ink track, which features himself, Chris Brown, and Tyga.

The ‘Main Chick’ remix was based on a dare, and with LL being on top of his game, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Complex.com states, ‘Remixes can start in the most unlikely places. DJ Whoo Kid got the idea to get LL Cool J to switch up Kid Ink’s DJ Mustard-produced “Main Chick” (featuring Chris Brown and Tyga) when actor Kevin Hart requested LL’s “I Need Love” on his radio show.

The mention got Whoo thinking. He called up good friend LL and dared the now-Hollywood actor to send him back a verse ASAP…if he could. Never one to back down from a rap battle, LL sent his bars in some 30-40 minutes later. This ditty is the result of that friendly wager.’

LL attacks his verse, beginning with the lines, ‘Ladies love me. I’m on my Cool J.’

Thirty years later, that still holds truth. He couldn’t have said it better.
