Upon joining the series, Rovsek met the other women, including Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, and Heather Dubrow, who gave her a bit of a hard time when she first signed on.
"I would say the toughest part was just kind of the hazing you get from the veterans. I really didn’t expect the hazing," Rovsek told Radar Online on April 23. "I didn’t really expect to be picked on like I did in the beginning. I found myself standing up for myself in the beginning right off the bat. I had to defend myself just from like the first meeting."
Since Rovsek, a former beauty queen, is so successful and much younger than most of the women, fans have come to the conclusion that the ladies were simply jealous of the younger star. However, Rovsek isn't so sure.
"I don’t know. Maybe. The thing is, I’m not very confrontational with other women. I don’t fight with other women typically. I don’t pick on people by the way they look or by their names, just very catty stuff like that," she said. "I was just really caught off guard that that those were the things I was picked on about. It wasn’t typical for me."
It's a shame that the ladies gave Rovsek a hard time -- especially since they (with the exception of Gunvalson, who has been on the show since season one) have all been in her shoes. But on reality TV these days, it's all about causing a stir and putting people into uncomfortable situations. In doing this, the cast are able to feel out the new ladies and get hints about their character.
As for her at-home life, Rovsek's is much more drama-free and may soon expand with another child, the couple's third.
"We definitely want another baby," she said. "That’s a definite 100% thing. We’re not sure exactly."
