'Lizzie Borden Took an Ax' speculation: Did she really do it?

Tonight viewers on Lifetime will get to see Christina Ricci star in "Lizzie Borden Took an Ax." On Jan. 24, Yahoo shared about the speculation behind this case. Lizzie was acquitted of the murders but a lot of people still believe that she did it.

This all happened in 1882. Lizzie was charged with the murders of her father and stepmother. Christina Ricci, who plays Lizzie in the movie, did some research on the case. She says that if you pay attention to the timeline there is no way that Lizzie had time to get rid of her clothes. She did burn a dress a few days later on a stove, but Lizzie said it was because she got a stain on it. Christina offered up a great idea and says that Lizzie could have committed the murders naked. Then she didn't have any clothes to get rid of and it is easier to wash the blood of your body.

Her dad Andrew did have a lot of enemies. That would mean that there were probably other enemies in his life that could have killed him. They didn't use fingerprinting in this case though because it was too new. They did not have much evidence against her. Lizzie did try to buy poison just one day before the murder, but said it was for cleaning.

Do you think that Lizzie Borden killed her father and stepmother? Sound off in the comments on your thoughts.
