Living Life By Faith Not Sight

See also

"So we are always confident; even though we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:6-7

Walking by faith alone means simple to follow and listen to the Lord, and his commandments, instead of relying on our own wisdom and physical sights in our daily lives when company is needed, or when issues arise.

When faced with a tough situation, many turn to their peers for advice. Many also try to observe what they see, and try to fix the problems on their own with the physical tools that they have. While there is no harm in doing such, we as humans are limited in our understanding of the world. Because of which, when guidance is needed, we must turn our eyes away from what we can see, and focus on God in prayer, asking him to deliver us and provide us with the answers and the advice that we need in our situation.

While there is no need to abandon common sense when faced with certain situations, in any and every situation it is important to remember that we must remain confident in the Lord's promises, and to seek out his wisdom first instead of relying on ourselves, and others, for input and advice.

Walking with God can be scary at times, but surely know that even if you seek his company in a common sense moment, he won't be slapping his forehead and rolling his eyes at you. No. He will be happy to walk with you, and continue to love you like he always has.
