Reports have surfaced that Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole looks set to make a return to his boyhood club, West Ham United in the coming days according to TalkSport on Jan. 2, 2013. The former Chelsea star never truly made a place for himself at Liverpool and it looks to now be seeing him ready to take his leave from Anfield.
West Ham United could use the player's rising return to form in the second half with the continued injury frustrations of the club. Liverpool are proving that they are looking to buy young and build a dynasty for Brendan Rodgers and 31-year-old is on the fringe of the clubs plans.
After the arrival of Daniel Sturridge on Wednesday, it appears that Cole no longer has a future with the club and needs to make a move to reignite his English Premier League career before he is put out to pasture or is seen to make a move to a less physically inclined league where is constant injury worries could prove less of a problem.
