Jason Mraz will close out the We Day concert in Vancouver on Tuesday, September 29. Mraz is scheduled to perform starting at 1:47 pm PST. A live webcast will be available to watch on CTV.ca.
This is the third annual We Day, sponsored by Free the Children, an event that celebrates the power of young people to change the world. The event features inspirational and motivational speeches and performances by leading activists, speakers and entertainers. This year's guests include singer Sarah McLachlan, actress/activist Mia Farrow and the Dalai Lama.
Mraz explained in a recent interview how he became involved with the show: "So they asked if I would come sing at We Day in Vancouver and I thought, yeah, totally awesome. I mean, 16,000 captivated kids that are all there rocking out for social change at such a young age, that’s pretty powerful."
The Vancouver event is the first in a series of one-day events across Canada held free for students to encourage them to raise awareness and funds for the Free the Children organization.
