December 21, 2011 -- Actor and recording artist Robert Davi celebrated the Christmas holiday today by singing his popular new single live on Fox & Friends, an early morning television show on the Fox News Channel.
Davi's delightful performance of the 'Mistletoe and Holly' song was backed by a world-renowned sextet, which included legendary percussionist Emil Richards, who once toured and recorded with the late Frank Sinatra.
Sinatra co-wrote and recorded the famous tune in the late 1950s.
Davi's intrepretation of 'Mistletoe and Holly' was released near the start of the traditional Christmas season to raise money for The Salvation Army's 120th Red Kettle Campaign.
"I wanted to use my voice for something besides narrations," Davi, a prolific Hollywood actor, told Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy. (Click here to see interview)
All of Davi's proceeds from the $0.99 sale of the joyful song will help the benevolent organization aid more than four million Americans who are struggling to make ends meet during this holiday season of giving.
Davi's and The Salvation Army's dual effort is expected to reach some 5,000 under-served communities nationwide.
'Mistletoe and Holly' is available now for easy download on both iTunes and Amazon.
