Live Theatre Workshop's ETCETERA late night series captivates Tucson audiences

Live Theatre Workshop’s ETCETERA, the late night performance series now in its seventh season offers Tucson theatre-goers challenging and captivating entertainment with their unique presentation of Oscar Wilde’s classic social commentary The Importance of Being Earnest – A Trivial Comedy for Serious People running Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30 pm from September 4-12, 2009 at the Live Theatre Workshop, 5317 East Speedway Blvd., Tucson.

Wilde’s infamous masterpiece, edited and directed by Christopher Johnson, receives a contemporary treatment and features an all-male (and one Cockney lesbian) cast including Bill Epstein as Lady Bracknell, Eric Anson as John Worthing, Christopher Johnson as Algernon Moncrieff, Cliff Madison as Miss Prism, Danielle Dryer as Token Dyke, Chadwyk Collins as Gavin Fairfax, Jody Mullen as Cecil Cardew and Jay C. Cotner as Canon Chausable.

According to the newly edited script, be prepared to meet a transsexual Lady Bracknell and a straight-acting Jack Worthington with a taste for much younger men and all the antics that follow the charades.
