Living the spa life is about more than spending endless hours at the spa – although I highly recommend frequent massages in a relaxing environment! The spa life is about high quality living, every day. It’s about seeking wellness, whatever that means to you: a healthy lifestyle, peace, calm and tranquility, exercise and plenty of rest. It’s about cooking at home like a chef would cook for you at the best destination spa, using flavorful, fresh, healthful ingredients. It’s about the perfect sleeping environment to help you get a restful night sleep: soft, cozy sheets and luxurious blankets just like you'd find at a fine spa. It’s about using effective skin care products made from natural ingredients, just like the best estheticians use during a relaxing facial.
In 2012, I’ll be guiding you to unique products and solutions to help you live the spa life throughout the year – even when you’re nowhere near your favorite spa.
When your spa treatment comes to an end, you eventually need to vacate the envelopment of the treatment bed. No doubt, it's the only part of a treatment that you'll dislike. You're feeling a bit sleepy and the bed is warm and luxurious. Who wants to get up? I've often wished that I could just take a quick nap. The next best thing is re-creating the treatment bed environment room at home.
Comphy Company had been selling luxury linens to the spa world when spa-goers began asking where they could purchase the sheets and blankets for use at home. The Comphy at Home product line was launched so spas, hotels and resorts could sell the sheets in their retail areas to guests. Simply put: these sheets sell themselves. Spa directors who are using these sheets in their treatment rooms can have confidence that offering them to guests in the spas retail area will have tremendous payoff with Comphy's retail program.
The microfiber linens are available in all the standard domestic bed sizes and are 18" deep for even the thickest, most luxurious mattresses. Because the're made to survive the rigors of the spa industry, they are specially treated for stain release and manufactured for breathability.
To create a spa environment in my home, I've outfitted my King Serta iComfort memory foam sleep system with a set of Comphy at Home sheets, a durable and non-allergenic quilted twill blanket and for an added touch of luxury, a satin and velour throw blanket. The sheets and blankets are really a spa lovers dream from a simple aesthetic and luxury comfort perspective.
The perfect-thickness sheets are soft and silky right out of the package - softer than my 600 thread count cotton sheets. The quilted twill blanket is too nice to hide under a comforter or duvet, so I'm using it as the top layer on my bed and I am loving the simple, understated elegance. The satin and velour throw blanket is cooling and satiny on one side and ultra-soft velour on the other. They come in solid colors and classic muted patterns.
I'm living the spa life each and every time I climb into bed and you can too with the luxurious Comphy at Home collection. While the linens are not available for online purchasing on the Comphy website, they are sold in spas all over the nation.
