In the pre-telecast segment of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, the award for Best Children's album went to "Can You Canoe" by the Okee Dokee Brothers.

Speaking backstage at the Grammys, the duo explained that they intentionally did not speak down to the kids while working on the album.

They also noted that they took a long canoe trip prior to recording it, in order to find inspiration for the album, which was recorded in New York.
