Last Sunday, the KLOS-FM edition of "Breakfast With the Beatles" heard in the Los Angeles area was broadcast live from the the city's Laugh Factory. Rock Singer, a reader of our column, who also contributed the slide show on the John Lennon Museum in Japan that we ran recently, was there and sent us these photos from the show, which featured the Fab Four, Jackie DeShannon and Edgar Winter.
The playlist for the KLOS show included "Good Morning, Good Morning," "Good Day Sunshine," "I Call Your Name," "A Day in the Life," "That Was Me" (Paul McCartney), "When We Was Fab" (George Harrison), "Cheese & Onions" (The Rutles), "Penny Lane," "'Til There Was You" (the Fab Four live) and "I'm the Greatest" (Ringo Starr).
Carter's BWTB on Sirius 25/XM 59 show, which has different songs, featured guest Donovan and songs including "The Sheik of Araby" (Decca audition), "The One After 909" (1963 version), "Ticket to Ride" (BBC), "Hey Bulldog," "Helter Skelter," "Big Barn Red" (Paul McCartney), "Catch the Wind" (Donovan in studio), "Sgt. Pepper" (Jimi Hendrix) and "Atlantis" (Donovan).
