Live event cheaper than PPV for Hopkins - Dawson

Saturday night light heavyweight boxing champion Bernard Hopkins will fight Chad Dawson at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

While most boxing fans scoff at the thought of having shell out $54.95 to watch the fight on pay per view, Los Angeles fight buffs find themselves in a excellent position to see Hopkins and Dawson live for less money.

The cheapest tickets available at the box office are priced at $25.00, and go up to $75.00, $150.00, and $300.00.

If you are familiar with buying tickets from independent sellers on the streets prior to an event, also known as scalping, I am confident in stating you could secure $150.00 seats for around $50.00.

Not bad deals if you’re a boxing fan and want to see a future Hall of Famer, in Bernard Hopkins, wind down his career against a younger fighter.

The undercard will feature some interesting fights, including a battle between two former blue-chip lightweight prospects Antonio DeMarco and Jorge Linares, who are now trying to fight their way into a meaningful position with the boxing world. Veteran junior welterweight Kendal l Holt and Pauli Malignaggi will appear in separate bouts.
