Live Dorner news coverage: Big Bear lake cabin on fire, police letting it burn (Photos)

Dorner live update: The Dorner incident is being carried live on television both here in the Bay Area and in Southern California. Police say Dorner shot and killed one officer and wounded another. They are letting the cabin where he is believed to be hold up burn. The fire has been burning since 4:15 p.m.

KABC's live coverage of the reported shootout between Christopher Dorner and police can be found here. KABC is presenting live coverage of the shootout of Seven Oaks Road off highway 38 in Los Angeles County.

A LA Sheriff Spokesman told KABC that a suspect matching the description of Christopher Dorner has exchanged shots with police.

Update. KABC is reporting that that Dorner is hold up in a cabin and that shots have been fired. KABC adds that a witness confirms that Dorner was indeed involved in the home invasion robbery that started the incident.

Breaking news now on the search for ex-LA cop Christopher Dorner. CBS News is reporting that Dorner got into a shootout out with police and may have been arrested. But CBS says that the they have not been able to confirm the arrest through official sources.

KABC-TV reports that at least one officer is down and that a medical helicopter has been dispatched to the scene. KABC says they cannot confirm report that the suspect was arrested.

Both ABC and CBS are reporting that the incident started as a home invasion robbery. Dorner reportedly tied up a couple in Big Bear Lake, stole their car and took off. There are reports that police chased the car and the the man involved in the robbery and carjacking matched the description of Christopher Dorner.

AP is citing an anonymous source that Dorner is in fact the suspect who was involved in the home invasion robbery, chase and shootout.

As previously reported, the search in Big Bear Lake has been curtailed in recent days.

KABC is reporting that at least one and possible two officers are down.
