Live blogging, chat for Lifetime movie ‘Prosecuting Casey Anthony’ with Rob Lowe (Video)

On Jan. 19, 2013, Lifetime airs the premiere of the film “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” based upon the book written by prosecutor Jeff Ashton. Rob Lowe stars in the lead role and it has been stated that Casey Anthony is a minor character in the film. While some have strongly objected to the movie for fear that it glorifies Anthony, who was acquitted of the first-degree murder of her two-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony on July 5, 2011, others have stated they will watch the film. Are you planning to watch the film or are you boycotting? Casey Anthony will not financially profit from the movie as confirmed by Jeff Ashton in a previous statement.

“I want to clarify a misconception about the book and the movie. Casey Anthony will not profit in any way from either period! Any photos used of her, and there are more in the movie to my knowledge, are public and used regardless of her permission. I wouldn't participate in any endeavor that benefitted that evil woman. Please spread this message. I don't want the good folks working on the movie to be unfairly lumped in with those [who] are trying to trick the world into believing Casey's latest lies,” reported the Orlando Sentinel.
