Corridor Digital released a new live-action short film Monday that puts its own spin on the popular "ArmA II" mod for the PC, "DayZ".
Titled "After DayZ", the short film is one of the longest put out yet by Corridor Digital and captures the atmosphere of the game while also interjecting plenty of humor with subtitles for the Russian speaking character. Just as in the game, other humans are even more untrustworthy and dangerous than the zombies and hackers are the worst.
Sam and Niko, the heads of Corridor Digital, decided to create a short based on "DayZ" after playing the game last year and filmed outside of St. Paul, Minnesota. They decided to shoot "After DayZ" in the snow because, as the name suggests, the events in the short take place after the events in the game.
It took Corridor three days to shoot the video and they had help with fans who took the role of the zombie horde.
You can catch "After DayZ" in our video gallery. Update: When we first watched this video, the Russian character had subtitles that referred to two other characters as "hackers", hence the title of this article. The subtitles were removed at some point, however.
