For the seventh year in a row, geocachers will gather for an afternoon of building evil caches and storytelling at the Little Shop of Horrors VII event in San Jose. This year's event is scheduled to start at Noon on Saturday, October 30th. Held at the workshop of local cacher workerofwood, cachers are encouraged to bring their geocaching projects, ideas, and materials to build cool and interesting cache containers. Saws, drills, and sanders will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring paint, camouflage materials, magnets, logsheets, ammo boxes, Tupperware, and other containers to work on.

Building a container is not required, and geocachers can brink snacks and beer and just chat if desired. New geocachers are especially welcomed to come visit and to soak up knowledge and experiences from other cachers. Previous events have included a trebuchet demonstration, a group hunt of a nearby cache (with over a hundred cachers), and even a visit from Signal the Frog, the mascot of Geocaching. Well-behaved children can play on a fort in the backyard, but parents should bear in mind that big power tools in use in the workshop are not necessarily a recommended area for small kids.
