Farmers' markets nationwide will be opening their doors this season, along with the Little Rock Market to consumers wanting to shop local within their own area and most markets offer fresh produce that's been grown locally. Jewel crafting and other handmade goods have also graced the atmosphere at most farmers' markets as well. Some farmers' markets even offer petting zoos to showcase the animal in which the goods came from, such as 'goats milk' and 'lambs wool.
The Little Rock Farmers' Market will offer everything from Hope watermelons to Arkansas peaches, as well as organic chicken and all natural beef.
If you are lucky enough to be within walking distance of the market, you can be proud that you are doing one more step to live a greener lifestyle.
