Petey the pup, with the trademark ring around his eye, in the 1020s and '30s episodes of "Little Rascals" was every little boy's dream of having a dog. Tide has a similar look, and this boy is also kid friendly.
Those were the days when America's favorite dogs were pit bull type breeds. Who hasn't seen an episode of Our Gang as Petey the pit bull would protect, entertain, and be the constant companion of the precocious but loveable kids of the "Little Rascals?"
There have been a lot of changes in the last 95 years, but dogs and kids still belong together. According to the Lake County Animal Services located in Tavares, Fla., Tide is very kid friendly, but is cat aggressive. The shelter staff reported Tide had been returned because he went after the roommate's cat. A staff member from the shelter described Tide stating:
"He is animal aggressive but staff has indicated that they believe he would be fine in a single pet household."
