The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around the Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.
Speaking of Dogs Rescue of Toronto, Ontario would like you to meet Pepito, a Chihuahua/Papillion mix.
Pepito came from a puppy mill in Quebec and so was not treated well. As a result, he is a bit nervous around people. He is also sensitive around his neck area due to the way he was handled. He also had an aversion to crates but after being fed in one for a while, he’s getting used to it and now will even sleep there.
After a nice nap, Pepito does like to be cuddled and is slowly enjoying being held. His foster mom says he likes to give kisses on her leg when she comes home. He also gives kisses on the nose first thing in the morning! Cute or what?
He has learned to walk on a leash wearing a harness with his foster fur siblings and keeps up pretty well. He has been through a lot in his short life and needs to find a forever family that could be patient and understanding with him.
Pepito is up-to-date on routine shots and housetrained. If you wish to adopt him or would like more information, send an email to Speaking of Dogs Rescue at lhh4dogs@rogers.com and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Pepito PFId#19947004’ in the subject line. You can also call 416.444.4190.
An adoption application is available for download HERE.
