The older Roloff children come home from college for the summer on the Little People, Big World episode that originally aired October 29, 2013.
As usual, Matt Roloff has a lot of big ideas about what to do on their family farm that his wife, Amy, thinks are unrealistic. One of the things he wants to do is get rid of the dilapidated house they've used as a bridal suite when someone has gotten married on the farm. Amy doesn't agree.
Matt devises a plan. He sends Amy on an errand. While she is gone, he brings in the local fire department. The fire department uses the house for a firefighter training exercise and burns it down to the ground.
When Amy finds out, she is not happy. After the fire, there is a huge hole where the house stood. The Roloff family only has six weeks to figure out what to do about the hole and get the rest of the farm ready for their busiest season.
In addition, the family learns that their beloved dog has terminal cancer.
