Here are descriptions of their performances from the Capital FM website:

Little Mix

"The girls were brought up from under the stage to join their sexy topless male dancers, so there was some eye candy for the guys AND the girls. Complete with eyebrow-singing fire effects and the MOST incredible costumes, their performance was a treat for all the senses! What a beautiful day what a great audience,' Little Mix told the crowd. 'Thank you Capital for having us we love you. Thank you Wembley. Enjoy the rest of your day.'"

Cheryl Cole

"Cheryl rocked an all-white cropped jacket and skater skirt set. And no pop princess' look would be complete if it wasn't personally branded with her song lyrics around the edge of her waistband. Cheryl even got the whole of Wembley Stadium involved in a MASSIVE Mexican wave. I's quite a skill to get tens of thousands of people eating out of her perfectly manicured hands!"

Union J

"Union J finally got their wish of flying on to the stage at the Capital Summertime Ball. And what better way to do it than in front of 80,000 people? The boys descended onto the stage like little chiseled-jawed angels from boy band heaven. The #JCat screams are still reverberating around the stadium as George, Jaymi, Josh and JJ entered the #CapitalSTB to total hysteria. The boys performed their first single 'Carry You' and sent the crowd totally wild with their first ever live performance of their new single 'Tonight (We Live Forever)'. It was a fangirls dream!"

Ella Henderson

"Looking totally incredible in a tailored red jumpsuit, Ella was definitely the lady of the moment as she came up from the raised stage in the middle of the crowd. The entire stadium was singing along to her HUGE performance. She thanked the fans for shooting her first single straight to the coveted top spot, 'Thank you so much, because you made my first single a number one.'"
