With a chance to advance to Saturday's United States Championships, Chula Vista, California (WST) and Westport, Connecticut (NE) put their perfect 2-0 records on the line in a double-elimination game.
For Chula Vista, this team showcased its versatility and dominance in the first two games of the Little League World Series 2013, and will be very tough to beat tonight.
In opener, RHP pitcher Grant Holman stole the show, tossing a no-hitter in a 3-0 victory over Grosse Pointe, Michigan (GL). He utilized his sinking-fastball beautifully, missing a perfect game by issuing just one free pass.
On Sunday night, California displayed its skills with the lumber, blowing out Newark, Delaware (MA) by a final score of 15-3 on the strength of 10 hits. However, their opponents tonight are no slouches either, as Westport has also showed it can win in a variety of ways.
First, they flashed the leather, showcased their pitching and closed the show with some timely hitting in a 3-2 win over Nashville, Tennessee (SE).
Much like their Chula Vista counterparts, their second game was time to let loose at the plate and let it fly. What became a slugfest with Sammamish, Washington (NW) would eventually end with Westport walking away with a 9-7 victory.
As you can see, the two teams showcased in tonight's Little League World Series 2013: Chula Vista vs Westport live stream preview can do it all on the field.
