Little League coach trafficked in kiddie porn, FBI says

The FBI said it found kiddie porn on the computer of an unemployed furniture finisher from New Jersey who has coached Little League the past three years.

After seizing his computer in February on a tip, forensic investigators from the bureau uncovered “thousands of images of what appear to be child pornography," an FBI agent wrote in a complaint against Everett Abney, 41, of Edison.

Federal authorities are always concerned in such instances, but the fact that Everett Abney, 41, of Edison has been that close to youngsters for several years heightened their involvement. They've even created a special e-mail box so the families of potential victims can contact government agents directly.

Although he didn't go into detail, an FBI spokesman said victim-witness specialists are working with the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) "to assess and assist the victims and families affected by this crisis" -- which likely means Abney's own family and those who children's photos he may have taken himself.   

“No matter how many arrests we make in child pornography cases, we are always shocked at what we find in each case, particularly because of the ages of the victims of these crimes," said FBI Special Agent in Charge Weysan Dun of the bureau's Newark-based New Jersey field office.
