When you talk about the reggae scene in Cleveland, Ohio the name Carlos Jones immediately comes to mind. He is a walking singing history of Cleveland reggae itself. Carlos got his start in the late 70’s as a sideman for I-Tal doing percussion and vocals. He later became the front man for First Light which he did for fourteen years. Carlos now leads the PLUS Band whose focus is a rootsier reggae sound while sending out positive messages.
Winslow blends a unique sound of soul, rock and pop and have shared stage time with such notable acts as Incubus, Earth Wind & Fire, OAR, Robert Randolph, Keane, Lupe Fiasco, Rusted Root, and more. They recently released their first album “Left of the Right Direction” and have been featured in “Modern Drummer”, “Relix Magazine”, “Guitar World” and “Soul Tracks”. Most recently they turned heads at SXSW as well as headlining the “Cleveland Rocks Showcase” presented by The Rock & Rock Hall of Fame.
