One of the biggest New Year’s Eve shows in the Washington D.C. area is Little Feat at the Fillmore Silver Spring. They can be classified as classic rock, southern rock, a jam band, a blues band, or just a great band that will get your feet moving. The New Year’s show keeps getting bigger and better. The show is sponsored by local radio station Big 100.3. The show will be broadcast worldwide on the net, XM radio, and Sirius radio on Radio Margaritaville.
There is still more. The band is schedule to play their classic live collection “Waiting for Columbus” in its entirety. They will also have special guest Craig Fuller sitting in for the evening. Fuller was a key member of Little Feat’s revival in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Fuller was also a founding member of Pure Prairie League.
Tickets are $55 per person plus applicable service fees. Tickets can be purchased here. The Fillmore is located at 8656 Colesville Road in Silver Spring, Maryland. Should be a fun time ringing in the New Year with Little Feat. I remember ushering in either 1993 or 1994 with Little Feat at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. That show was fantastic and they have come back to ring in another New Year in the Washington, D.C. area.
