'Little Couple' star Jen Arnold diagnosed with cancer weeks after adopting Zoey

"The Little Couple" mother, Jen Arnold, announced on Dec. 6, 2013, that she is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer. This news comes just weeks after the couple brought home their second adopted child.

"Little Couple" star Jen Arnold was just diagnosed with cancer.

In a statement Dr. Jen Arnold says, “I have recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and am currently undergoing treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy. While there is never a good time to get news like this, getting it just as we are building our new family is tough in many ways, but being surrounded by the love of my husband and our two beautiful children is actually in many ways giving me the strength to fight it even stronger."

Her husband Bill Klein tweeted, "My darling wife released today that she is currently battling a form of cancer. Prayers are welcome, hugs are not due to her weakened state."

Jen Arnold and Bill Klein decided to adopt after struggling with fertility issues. The couple's adopted son and daughter both have skeletal dysplasia. Will is 3 years old from China and Zoey is 2 from India. Both children were adopted this past year.

"The Little Couple" airs Tuesdays on TLC. Jen Arnold's battle with cancer will be followed on the show.
