What are the TSA strip searches doing to the psyches of our children? Will they grow up thinking it's no big deal for someone to search them intrusively? What message do we send them when strangers are allowed to touch their private parts, remove their clothes and view them naked on a computer screen?

Thomas D. "Tom" Sawyer, age 61, of Lansing, MI, a retired special education teacher and bladder cancer survivor, was left humiliated, crying and covered in his own urine after TSA officers spotted his urostomy bag and performed an enhanced pat down at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Nov. 7.
"I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn't even speak," he said.
When Sawyer was chosen for a pat down--presumably because of his urostomy bag -- he asked to be screened in a private room. The officers rolled their eyes and informed him they didn't have anywhere to take him. He insisted on privacy and was taken to an office.
He had already removed his belt, and because his pants and underwar are baggy (two sizes bigger), they kept falling down.
“I had to ask twice if it was OK to pull up my shorts,” said Sawyer, “And every time I tried to tell them about my medical condition, they said they didn’t need to know about that.”
He was asked to remove his shirt and one agent watched as the other agent used his flat hand to go slowly down his chest. He tried to warn the agent that he would hit the bag and break the seal but was ignored.
"Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants,” Sawyer said. "They never apologized. They never offered to help. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark.”
Humiliated and upset, Sawyer walked through the airport soaked in urine, boarded his plane and was forced to wait until after takeoff to clean up.
"If this country is going to sacrifice treating people like human beings in the name of safety, then we have already lost the war,” he said.
Homeschoolers can restore and retain sanity to our country by teaching their children the Bill of Rights and logic. Two things our government has forgotten.

Geeezeee I guess if I'm on my period I should expect TSA agents to ask me to remove my tampon or sanitary napkin for further inspection. What's next!!! body cavity search? I hope they wash their hands and change gloves before touching any human being. I'm puzzled. Aren't we the good guys?

I'll tell you the same thing I told that high school drop out airport security guard who told me he would ticket me for exiting my vehicle for thirty seconds to assist my mother into her wheel chair and onto the sidewalk:
Take a look around dumbass. See those empty corridors. That's right NO ONE is flying!! So here's your fifth grade lesson in economics - dolt. When there aren't enough people like me paying for my invalid mother to fly, you'll be back at McDonalds flipping burgers instead of telling me you'll arrest me for leaving my vehicle to assist my mother to the sidewalk ten feet away.
This Thanksgiving, make a serious commitment to DRIVE AND NOT FLY. Make that commitment for all of 2011. The Feds, TSA & airlines will either come up better solutions or close a bunch of airports - which will speed our deliveries of pizza as they seek other employment.
