Little boy holds his scruffy white pooch as his mother surrenders dog to pound

This little doll is estimated to be two-years-old and weigh seven to ten pounds. Please help her find a home.

A little boy will likely never forget the day that he walked into the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter, and he held onto his dog tightly as his mother filled out an information card to surrender the matted little dog.

On August 26, a volunteer was at the shelter when the family walked in and observed the heartbreaking separation. A little boy was holding the dog as the mother answered questions at the counter, and despite how awkwardly the child was holding on, the little dog didn't budge a muscle.

"She is soooo sweet. The little boy was holding her so awkwardly, and she was just so calm. I know she will be perfect in a loving home. She is just lovely," stated Alice Chow.

Alice estimates the dog to be about two years old and weighs between seven and ten pounds; a perfect pocket pooch to accompany her new human wherever the two decide to travel.
