Little Big Town to headline Blue Ridge Music Festival, Salem, Va. (Video)

Virginia’s beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains will provide the backdrop for the sweet sounds of summertime. Capitol Nashville recording artists Little Big Town are scheduled to headline the Blue Ridge Music Festival at Salem, Virginia’s Salem Stadium on Saturday, June 1, 2013.

Little Big Town consists of the four-part harmonies of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. Singers of the summer-inspired “Pontoon,” Little Big Town grabbed top honors for Vocal Group of the Year, and Single of the Year for “Pontoon,” at the 2012 Country Music Association (CMA) awards.

“Pontoon” was recently named one of the Top Ten Boating Songs by Discover Boating. Other top-earning tunes include "Boondocks" and "Little White Church."

Co-headliner Hunter Hayes was the 2012 CMA New Artist of the Year. His self-titled debut album has produced two number one hits, “Storm Warning” and “Wanted.” Hayes played more than 30 instruments on the album.
