The 2013 ACM Awards nominees were announced via Facebook and Twitter on February 13th. Little Big Town are among many newcomers to the list this year.
For Little Big Town, apparently the 5th time's a charm as their fifth album, Tornado, has taken the country music world by storm this past year. The group's first single, “Pontoon” went to #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart and went on to win Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year at the CMAs as well as Group Music Video of the Year at the American Country Awards. Now, the band is enjoying another successful single with their album's title track, “Tornado.”
This whirlwind of awards nominations is all new ground for Little Big Town, whose only award prior to the release of “Tornado” had been for Top New Vocal Group at the ACMs in 2007. It's been a long road for Little Big Town, but it seems to be their year. Will the ACMs prove to be yet another successful run for Little Big Town?
Tune in to the 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards to see if Little Big Town wins in any of the following categories:
Vocal Group of the Year
Album of the Year - “Tornado”
Single Record of the Year - “Pontoon”
Video of the Year - “Tornado”
The ACM Awards will bring country music's hottest stars to CBS, beginning at 8:00 p.m. on April 7th.
