Lita Ford is considered one of the most important female representatives of the rock genre. She grew up in LA and is a founding member of The Runaways, one of the first girl groups who unexpectedly broke down barriers in the punk era as well as the male dominated world of rock music, causing a stir with their six rebellious releases.
Following the demise of The Runaways, Ford concentrated on her own career and now looks back on many memorable hits including: the chart topping duet with Ozzy Osbourne” Close Your Eyes Forever”, “What Do You Know About Love”, “Shot Of Poison”, “Larger Than Life”, “Gotta Let Go” and “Kiss Me Deadly”. With the June 2012 release of Living Like a Runaway, expect many more songs to be added to her list of hits.
Australian guitarist Orianthi has already experienced what most aspiring musicians only dream of. She’s opened for Steve Vai, backed Carrie Underwood, traded solos with a Carlos Santana, and shared the stage with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Before she received the call from the King of Pop, Orianthi had already been hard at work on her upcoming album, Believe, on which she sings, writes, and leads her own band. She packs a modern girl-power punch into every turn of phrase, but it’s the shredding that takes her brand of rock to an entirely new level. Songs like Suffocated and Think Like A Man are rock anthems. Her most recent album release is titled Fire.
